A Guide To Reaching The Unreachable, Getting The Ungettable.

There it is, right in front of you.

The email address of someone who could completely change the course of your life and career. If you could just get that person’s attention and make your pitch.

A whole new world of opportunity would open for you.

Years of struggle… leap-frogged.

Years of anonymity… avoided.

Years of frustration, busy work, underpayment, headaches… all overcome with one message.

That’s a lot riding on one email.

Do you know how to write that email?

Are You Sick Of Not Having Any Freelance Gigs?

I had been trying to get some freelance gigs for a while.

Trying to find a paying customer was a nightmare.

I wanted to get out of the 9-6 I hated.

Having zero savings made the transition worse.

I wanted to be able to support my wife so she wouldn't have to work and I could start a family.

Most evenings, even some Saturdays and mornings. I spent souring jobs and freelance sites sending emails. Or messages to potential clients.

I was even cold-emailing agencies and software houses.

Nothing I did could get me a decent project to work on.

I felt awful.

No matter how I worded the email or message nothing worked.

I felt even worse as I had graduated from a top-notch University. With a first-class degree in Computing Science.

I couldn’t even put a decent email together to at least get a “No Thanks” response.

I'm a failure!

The problem was I had no idea how to structure these emails and messages.

Is responding to a project on a jobs board different from a cold email?

How do I introduce myself to potential customers?

How do I provide value?

How do I not sound too salesy, even worse down downright desperate?

Are subject lines meant to be worded like the subject line in a letter?

How do I follow up if I don’t get a response?

Then, as if by chance, something amazing happened...

That's when I met up with an old colleague of mine.

He'd been freelancing for years. We met up for a coffee. Luckily, he had his laptop with him. He showed me the email templates that he used for different situations.

LIGHTBULB!

It was so obvious looking back. I could structure emails and proposals in a certain way that made potential clients sit up and take note. Because I saw that I could use repeatable templates that worked and got a response.

My plan was to get a rough Word document put together. With a handful of these email templates ready to use when contacting customers.

My friend even gave me a cold call template which looked amazing.

So I started to document my findings.

I sat down and used my framework to send out even more emails.

After that, I started getting responses and enquiries.

But there was still a problem.

How do I now communicate with clients to get across your value and that you were a good fit for them?

I was still working full-time and was planning on working in the evenings and weekends.

This put a lot of people off working with me.

So it was still hard to show people what I could do. And assure them that I could still communicate with them and get the work done. Even if we were on different schedules.

But I didn't give up.

I focused on improving my email templates.

And, guess what!?

I ended up getting my first paying gig.

Then another. Then spending my lunch time chatting on the phone. Or nipping for a coffee with potential customers.

There was even a situation where I had done a quick job for someone and they wouldn’t pay me. They got to a point where they wouldn’t respond.

I would research online to see if I could find a way or word the emails that could get me what I wanted.

A response, or more vital my money.

All these different situations. When an email worked. I added it to my growing list of templates.

Now, I've packaged it up to help others starting on their freelancing journey.

I chose to call it “46 Proven email templates for freelancers. Getting the ungettable, reaching the unreachable".

You can now use this guide to get more responses and emails than ever before.

And in the end. This means I’m now able to help a lot more people run their small businesses. And achieve their dream of finding and communicating with their own freelancer customers. Willing to pay for their services.
